Mumbai: Utkarsh Small Finance Bank (USFB) is preparing for a Rights Issue, though exact details such as entitlement ratio, price, and record date are still awaited.
Founded with a rural and semi-urban focus, the bank today operates with a wide distribution, growing customer base, and diversified loan portfolio.

Business Overview: As of 31 March 2025, the bank’s Gross Loan Portfolio stood at INR 19,665.59 crore, reaching INR 19,224.04 crore by 30 June 2025.
It runs 1,099 outlets across 23 states and 4 union territories. 69.9% of branches are micro-banking outlets serving rural communities, while 27% are in Unbanked Rural Centres, above RBI’s 25% mandate.

Diversification: USFB has steadily expanded beyond microfinance. By June 2025, Non-Micro Banking Lending (NMBL) made up 52.77% of the portfolio, up from 39.42% a year earlier.
Segments include MSME loans, housing loans, vehicle & equipment finance, wholesale lending, and BC channel loans. The bank serves over 0.51 crore customers and employs 19,871 staff.

Technology & Reach: The bank leverages tech-enabled onboarding, digital banking services, and customer-centric solutions to deepen penetration in semi-urban and rural India.
