Mumbai: October is packed with major festivals and holidays. As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks across different cities will remain closed on 21 days in October 2025. This covers Durga Puja, Karva Chauth, Diwali, Chhath Puja, plus regular Sundays and the second & fourth Saturdays.

- October 2: Gandhi Jayanti (all-India holiday).

- October 10: Karva Chauth (Shimla).
