AIBOBOA Marks 62nd Foundation Day: Work-Life Balance, Compliance & Ethics, and Membership Milestones

12 September 2025: The All India Bank of Baroda Officers’ Association (AIBOBOA) marked its 62nd Foundation Day, celebrating a legacy that began on 12 September 1964 and has evolved into the bank’s only majority officers’ association.

A legacy of “Grow with the Bank”

Founded under the vision of Shri K.C. Chowksy and later strengthened by the long stewardship of Shri K.K. Nair, AIBOBOA highlighted its enduring philosophy—“Grow with the Bank”—now reinforced with a sharper emphasis on Compliance, Ethics, and Work-Life Balance as essential pillars for sustainable growth.

Addressing today’s challenges

The Association said it is actively engaging top management on pressing issues such as excessive workload, overlapping VCs, unrealistic targets, and undue follow-ups from multiple verticals. Through structured and one-to-one meetings at Regional, Zonal, and Corporate levels, AIBOBOA is working to ensure officers’ dignity, self-respect, and work-life balance are protected.

Grassroots connect & skill building

To stay closely connected with members, Zonal Secretaries are organizing General Body Meetings, Cluster Meets, Interactive Sessions, and Branch Visits. The Association also runs Training Programs, Workshops, and Seminars led by experts and retired professionals for continuous upskilling.

On the welfare front, personalized birthday and service anniversary greetings and mementoes continue to foster emotional connect with members.

Global & national affiliations

The Association reaffirmed its pride in affiliations with INBOC, the banking arm of INTUC—India’s largest trade union federation—and with UNI Global Union, representing workers worldwide. Together, these bodies represent a combined strength of approximately 5.5 crore workers.

On the Foundation Day, AIBOBOA reiterated its commitment to pursue a better work-life balance for officers, uphold compliance and ethics across operations, and contribute whole-heartedly to the growth and progress of Bank of Baroda.
