Deoghar โ€” Health Minister Irfan Ansari on Tuesday visited the HDFC Bank branch in Madhupur after armed robbers carried out a daring daylight heist the previous day.

Minister Visits Looted Branch

Ansari inspected the premises and spoke with local officials and bank staff. He told reporters that the police have gathered leads in the case and expressed confidence that the suspects would be arrested soon.

Family Connection to Building

Notably, the building that houses the bank belongs to Ansariโ€™s family. Officials said the visit was in response to the robbery and to assess the situation on the ground.

Investigation Underway

Police sources said investigators are probing possible links between the robbers and gangs known to operate in Deoghar, Giridih and Jamtara. Authorities believe the same networks may be involved in similar crimes in the region.

Loot and Losses

Sources told reporters that cash and valuables worth about Rs.2 crore were stolen during the robbery. The police have collected CCTV footage and eyewitness statements as part of the ongoing probe.
