Abhishek Sharma is on fire with the bat for Team India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s match against Pakistan. In the match taking place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the left-handed batter needed just 24 balls to reach the 50-run mark. The fifty in 24 balls helped Abhishek break his mentor Yuvraj Singh’s record of scoring the fastest half-century in T20Is for Men in Blue against Pakistan. During the India-Pakistan T20I match played in Ahmedabad on December 28, 2012, Yuvraj needed 29 balls to complete his half-century.
The overall record of scoring the fastest 50 in an India-Pakistan T20I match is in the name of Mohammad Hafeez. Hafeez needed just 23 balls to reach the 50-run mark against India in Ahmedabad on December 28, 2012.
