Mumbai, July 20, 2025 — The All India Bank of Baroda Officers’ Union (AIBOBOU) has issued a stern 7-day deadline to the management of Bank of Baroda, demanding immediate and meaningful reforms in existing human resource practices. The union has raised strong objections over HR norms that, according to them, are harming employee morale, health, and dignity.
In a strongly worded statement, AIBOBOU criticized the bank’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), calling it a public relations façade unless backed by real policy changes. “If the bank truly believes in employee wellness, let them prove it — not in words, but in actions,” the union emphasized, rejecting what it described as “sugar-coated speeches and token sympathy.”
The officers’ union warned that failure to act within seven days will compel them to dismiss the EAP as nothing but “crocodile tears.” The message was clear: the union is not interested in superficial wellness campaigns, but in actual structural change.
Key Demands of the Union:
✅ Humane leave policies
✅ End to late-night work pressure
✅ Implementation of scientific workload norms
✅ Respect and support for mental health
AIBOBOU concluded its statement with a powerful declaration: “We’re not here for campaigns. We’re here for change.”
The call for reform comes at a time when stress and burnout among bank officers are increasingly becoming national concerns. The next few days will be crucial in determining how Bank of Baroda responds to these demands and whether tangible steps will be taken to prioritize employee well-being.
